CCC says it's the best price it's ever been.

Mine has a promo on the side that says if you buy more than $50 in Stanley Tools from Amazon you get $10 off.

It's out of stock right now but you can still order it and the price went down even further to $7.71

I can't tell you how many times I've been caught without a chisel because they don't fit in my pocket.. This is brilliant.

Why would one need a pocket chisel? I can't ever think of a time when I've needed to just whip out a chisel out of your pocket like you would a pocket knife. Anyone?

My thought would be to protect that edge? One knick or dent and it can scratch your laminate / veneer etc. I'd be afraid of any wobble personally.

I can certainly think of legit uses. I wonder if it legally counts as a knife longer than 6in.

Yeah. I agree. I think the folding joint is going to be a weak point of this chisel after you hammer it many times. Then you get a loose/wobbly chisel which then turns into a broken chisel

This makes perfect sense. All I need now is a folding pocket hammer.

At first I was thinking like the rest of you, who the hell needs to carry a chisel around in their pocket? But then I remembered the chisels that I have in portable tool boxes and their crappy little blade protection caps that inevitably fall off leading to the points getting damaged by other tools in the box. This chisel should solve that problem in my portable tool kits, albeit with a possible downside of a weak hinge.

Not that crazy of an idea. Weaker handle is a question.
