A laptop fitted with a gtx 1070 for under $1,400 is hard to come by. I'd say this is a decent deal, not sure why it's been downvoted

it seems to be a stripped version of the GL702VS, but it gets you a 1070 and G-Sync screen for under $1300...thought that was decent.

What do you mean by stripped? Seems pretty loaded to me

It looks like most other versions of the GL702VS come with a better combo (and more) RAM, some sort of SSD, and a 120hz screen. This one has 12gb RAM, and a different (but still good) 75hz screen.

This is perfect for me and complete overkill for what I do; it's got thunderbolt 3, and I can always add more RAM and better hard drives. I'm just hoping this will still be usable 4 or 5 years from now. (mobile workstation; not really for gaming).

Because it comes with one of the crappiest descriptions ever. So much useless info.
My bad...this is my first deal post.
Extra crap removed from description.
It's late. Going to bed.

Does this really have thunderbolt 3 ? Is this the same model as the one that went on sale for 1250 during BF? Thanks

Sounds good. Much easier to see what's in it now. May also want to change the title to include that it's a 1070 inside, but not a big deal, since the description is decipherable.

No SSD, 75hz TN screen, runs super hot, 6+ lbs laptop. I guess this is a good price if you must have a 1070 in a laptop, but be prepared to spend extra money on a M.2 SSD.

We actually own one of these. I bought one of these for my son back in June. It does not run hot. It's a pretty sweet deal for what you get. He loves it (he's 16 and games on it for hours each day).

If you want a mobile workstation get an ultrabook, not a boat anchor of a laptop. This is for gaming.

This is far from a boat anchor... I wish you all would stop with that. It is thin and the bezels are not that bad. This is not an ultra book, so don't pretend it is. It's a 17 in gaming laptop. Traveling business people could use this in hotels.

As far as the heat... it runs VERY hot. In fact one of the hottest laptops I have ever owned. The CPU and GPU sit at 90 degrees Celsius after a few minutes of gaming.

I have this and the MSI GX62 from m newegg. And I cannot figure out why ch I am sending back. This keyboard is amazing, and even with a 75hz screen, it still looks amazing. It is light for a 17in laptop and thin. The MSI has better sound and runs a little cooler, with better specs. But because of the 17in screen, with the light weight I might end keeping this.

New paste, thermal pads, M.2 ssd, and a little more ram and this $1250 machine will be amazing.
