I'm ordering them now in hopes that the price drops to 168 soon enough to either get a price adjustment from Fry's or a price protection from Discover.

All that's left is a receiver (been wanting the Denon 3400 but Fry's won't ship!) and a sub. Is there any 12" sub that goes below 20 Hz?

How are these in-ceiling speakers? They go down to $60 for a pair after promo code. I might want them for my Atmos

The Dayton sub from yesterday's deal is highly recommended. I picked one up, but have not heard it yet.

I'm using Pioneer SP-FS52 speakers as my rear surrounds.
Would this item hold significant advantage over these other than size?

Klipsch RC62ii and two RP280f are up front. Yamaha rx1070 rceiver.

I got the rb61's during the BF deal, and also coming from Pioneer AJ but bookshelves. I really didn't want let go of them as nice as the klipsch are, huge, deep bass, excellent build quality, magnetic grills & just look awesome, but had to return them- got some serious fatigue which bordered on pain that I could not tolerate.

Auditioned 7 speakers over the past couple of weeks, and while some others were a little bright for me, nothing like this. I even tried the mods, no amount of aquarium foam, felt, turning them away from me alleviated the pain.

Try them though. I think I might be overly sensitive and No risk at frys you can return them if you don't like them, but no way would I go from fs52's to these. I couldn't have the klipsch at any price.

edit- nm sorry didn't notice you already have klipsch, yeah go for it for sure to have the same series all around.

Have those here too. Total opposite sound of the klipsch, very recessed highs. Lots of bass. Very smooth sound overall though, not fatiguing at all. Getting near the KEF territory though with either of these deals, the q100's at bb for $250 or JBL studio 230s for $300 tax included were my two favorites.

Holy expensive moly! Are Atmos that important?

I don't see any prior listings to either of those speakers here on Slickdeals. Do they never go on sale? Might put me out of budget. I was looking at the $60 pair just to have something as a height speakers. So far I've done pretty well keeping my budget down with the recent Klipsch sales
RF-82 - $197 each
RC-62 - $133
RB-61 - $199 for the pair (hoping to later price match down to $168 if possible)

edit: This made me start looking up in-wall speakers as well. Do those ever drop in price? That would most likely be a better solution for me for my rears. The only problem I see are that the listed depth is 3.75". Aren't most walls 3.5" thick since they're made from 2x4 wood? Or is the depth required also including 1/2" - 5/8" drywall? Would we just build a slight frame around the hole to stick the speaker out of the wall a little bit if needed? One of my walls is wood paneling so it's only about 1/8" thick

I've only ever read amazing things about these speakers. I've been waiting a while for them to drop to 200$ again, because I don't think you an get a better pair of speakers in this class for that price. Someone please feel free to jump in with other options </= to price. I jumped on this deal. Thanks OP.
