Trying to buy a budget NAS for plex and downloading. Came across this on bestbuy today. It seems to be a good price, especially combines the future $10 credit if you choose to pickup in store. (assuming the previous post is true)

It Features Marvell ARMADA 385 1GHz dual-core processor and 1GB DDR4 SDRAM.
I guess it can at least run plex. though transcoding could be difficult.

"Onboard SATA, HDD connected to onboard SATA Controller - No RAID"

It has no RAID capability, what are you going to do with it? How is it even comparable with Thecus which can have RAID?

I can't speak for him, but some people don't care about RAID. Hell, most probably don't know what it is and may not even configure it for redundancy when they set up a NAS. I wonder how many 2 bay units only have one drive...

Am I missing something, it's showing $129 for me. I have a QNAP with same CPU/memory and can run Plex + 1 container and still have capacity for more
