Why is Espresso coffee that gets posted here almost always ground instead of whole beans?

Sure that wasn't for the 8 oz package?

Edit: Worked out to about $2.00 for me after 20% and S&S 15%.

I use a pour over and use regular ground coffee. Can I use this instead of regular coffee?

Argh, the 20% coupon only applies to one brick. So 10 pounds comes to $26.22 Comparing to the 10 ounce bricks, that would be like getting the 10 oz brick for $1.64

My guess is it's assumed most household coffee drinkers don't own a grinder capable of a good espresso grind. Just a guess.

Any true espresso lover knows not to ground beans until right before pulling the shot.

This grind level might be too fine for a pour-over. You might end up with sludgy or bitter coffee.

Ok. How do you brew your coffee? Drip? Is it very slow due to the very fine grind? Also is this stuff just like Cafe Bustelo - like same taste about?

That's what I'm thinking. Maybe mix it with regular coffee?
