Nice deal on a rugged basic Chromer that's kinda cool looking. Looks like a good one for students but would also make a nice Couch-Potato browser. Octane score of 8800 should get the job done and 2gb is just fine if you're not a tab hog. Amazing what you can get for a hundred bucks these days!!!!

Yup! You can get 3 days of warranty with that kind of crazy money...

Which means, if the warranty starts the day you buy, they could ship you one of those Laptops used on Youtube for Crash Tests and by the time you open the box to admire all the broken pieces of your laptop, the warranty is already over!

This gotta be a scam. No honest company gives a 3 day warranty.

From the Specs on this:

Warranty 1-Year Manufacture Warranty, Phone Tech and Online Chat Support, 30-Day Zero Bright Dot Guarantee

Yes, I saw the 3 day thing also.

Same item on NewEgg at $339.

Just bought this for my father. He loves his ASUS 15" chromebook. This will be perfect for him to travel around with. He's excited for the more compact size and the rugged design aspect of it.

For those about to bitch that its for someone else; I'm retired army. My fathers service was prior to the 1973 fire and trying to verify his veteran status during Vietnam is an ugly battle to the point buying and gifting to him is easier.

They want my full social security number to create an account, because they could not find me with my last four SSN.

That's a first.

Great deal, but not giving my SSN to so no name brand...

The site is only for US Military, DoD, and their immediate family. Regular civilians will not be able to shop there period. If you don't fit their criteria then there is no need to give your SSN.
