That's likely because making espresso is, by it's nature, a non-adiabatic operation. Ha ha

Edit: One second though. the word adiabatic is meaningless in this context. The word -- an adjective -- refers to a process, not a noun. Hence, an object cannot be adiabatic.

Double wall glasses like these are much more fragile than thicker traditional glassware. I've had several different brands and currently keep over a dozen Bodum, Bormioli, De'longhi. I wouldn't skimp on quality for something that could break into very sharp shards during use. Also, use a silicone or bamboo stirrer, not a metal spoon.

Does anyone else think the spoon looks like a ball sack?

I'd pass and grab the Bodum glasses which can be had for a similar price when buying a 4 pack.

my error, it's a 6 pack on amazon. I purchased 2 boxes (12 glasses) @ $22 per box, or less than $4 per glass. I put a price alert via the camel site. Currently they are just over $6 per glass.

whwhy?
- Brand name
- Larger size
- Lower price (may or may not currently be, was when I purchased)
- matches my aesthetic tastes
- customer support of a recognized company
