Does this show in one of the email pages? Or only on the item page? Looking for an ad to use for price rewind that shows the total after promo code.

Hey there,

Here is a copy of the newsletter for today: LINK [newegg.com]

That should be sufficient for Price Rewind purposes.

Happy Holidays! Smilie

Great. Is there an easy way to find these in the future? I didn't see it in my email.

I searched my email. Perhaps I just missed it.

What do you suggest using IFTTT?

Doesn't work for 3rd party sellers and Newegg is sold out already.

Looking at the Amazon reviews for this drive, I saw several comments stating that the WDs are quieter and don't run as hot.

You won't instantly void your warranty by installing this in something else, like you would with the Easystore.

This HGST is also 7200 RPM, versus the 5400 RPM Easystore.

After I read your comment, I went through the buying process at NewEgg. The discount was applied to both the drives I pretend-ordered. Scraped from the NewEgg page:

Grand Total: $419.98
Amazon [amazon.com]is selling the WD EasyStore for the same price as these Deskstars.

The WD EasyStores are also offfered on eBay [ebay.com] for $189.99 shipped. "Seller does not offer returns."

Weren't the EasyStores just $160 (or so) at BestBuy a little while ago? Edit: No, they were $130! [dealnews.com]. Now BestBuy has them at $299.

I don't like the eBay no-returns offer. I think I'll wait for a better price on the EasyStores.

That's a very good point! Hmmm.

Edit: In for two. Final price $419.98 -- free shipping, no tax (I'm in MA)

To be honest, I find hard drive warranties to be utterly pointless. If they're consumer level drives and fail, you're getting refurbed drives. And I just don't trust refurbed consumer drives. However, enterprise refurbs are golden. I'm running 4 of the hgst 4tb nas drives as well as 4 of the hgst 3tb enterprise refurb drives for the past two years, seem to be working out well, knock on wood.

Btw, I thought the easystores were 8tb red drives which were rebadged hgst helium drives?
