Bought the identical pressure washer from HD Sept of last year for $99, now it's $129.

Probably works well for $129. Works GREAT for $99, have done my entire 5 bed house, driveways and a few vehicles.

If you think you might want one of the larger Ego products at some point (lawn mower, snowblower), the backpack blower + 7.5ah battery + rapid charger deal is a no brainer, just to get in on the battery and charger.

+1. The 7.5ah battery is over $350 by itself.

Agreed. I may only use the backpack blower a couple times a year to do the big jobs, but the real benefit is adding that 7.5ah battery and additional charger to my arsenal.

If you have this backpack blower, can you tell me your experience with it & how long the battery lasts on high speed for you? I have the handheld blower with the base level battery it came with (past slickdeal for $89.99). I'm lucky to see 10 minutes of leaf blowing at high speed. It's wonderful while it's charged, and for small tasks, but with my .75 acre yard filled with weeping willows, maples & white pines it's just not up to the task. I've had this backpack model in my cart for about 3 weeks, but at the $510 price I hesitated. I need to know, realistically, how long the 7.5 ah battery will last per charge before I pull the trigger, or should I just buy a gas one... (or hire someone to do fall cleanup!)? TIA

Waiting for a deal on the snowblower, already own and love all of the rest of the Ego product line-up (Mower, Blower, Trimmer, etc.).

the ego backpack blower with the 5.0 is the no brainer. It's the same as the 7.5ah other than battery size for $100 less. It's not in the description but it also have the rapid charger as the 7.5ah. For $259, backpack blower, 5.0ah, and rapid charger.

I dont have the 7.5ah but i have the 5.0ah and with full blast (not turbo). it'll last about 20 mins. The 2.0 and 2.5ah only last less than 10 min. I did not do an exact testing but general use. I would assume the 7.5ah will last a little over 30 min. but in turbo mode, it's significantly less.

Will the 5.0ah battery power the mower? I have no Ego products now, but I'm ready for a serious blower. Maybe one day I'll get the mower.

EDIT: and I see that the backpack blower w/5.0ah battery is $259 - is that the regular price? Seems strange that the version would with the 7.5ah battery would be $250+ more MSRP?
