For anyone interested the 2 ah battery goes for like $33 on ebay. So with shipping included your basically paying $52.49 for the fan. Or $46 if you're going to spend over $199 on acme tools anyways

As an FYI for those curious, this deal does not stack with the $25 off $100 deal on their webpage (code: DEW2017) though most other DeWALT tools are part of the deal.

What do people actually think of this fan. Does it cool you off on a hot day if you are 10 feet away?

I think that's it's a really overpriced fan that a normal person would probably won't be using somewhere that a regular wall powered fan can't be used.

Super high markup, just like any battery operated light made by any of the big tool companies.

I preordered this for $99 from amazon. All of my tools are dewalt so i have plenty of batteries and chargers. I saw this fan and thought great I could use this fan for places that don't have wired power yet!

I got it in, Fan is pretty big. That was my first impression. Big is ok, I can fit it on my van. Then I put the battery in and tried it out. Much disappointment from dewalt on this was my first impression.

If your right up to it - put it on a workbench and you are 2-3-4 feet away it works ok. But I was expecting more airflow. At 10 feet I don't think you are gonna feel it much. in my opinion. I would have almost returned it, but just gonna keep it to the side. Most times I work where there is power and we just use a decent 110v fan to move some air.

I guess all the battery powered fans are probably the same. If I saw it on the shelf at a store for $75 I would pass it up - even with the battery included.

It's a ryobi yellow and Black. Luckily I bought the ryobi for 10 bucks couldn't be more happier.

Yeah, this is the sort of tool that the Ryobi counterpart is probably going to be as good and half the price.

yup normal price at home depot is $40 spray paint that bitch black and yellow and hot glue some dewalt stickers and watch the fan bois loose their mind.. DEwilt!! its all made by the same shitter TTi. I dont even bother with dewalt. dont get me wrong i like dewalt but i dislike paying the markup.certain gadgets and gizmos are cool from dewalt but i will never invest in the 20v line. when 60v tools become more maybe just maybe id start. until then ridgid clearance prices and lsa has me hooked, also cryobi has stepped up their game.. 6 gallon 18v shopvac!
