Unlike the CEO of Sears / KMart (Eddie Lampert) I have experience as a retail employee, and I can tell you that what he is doing is very much reminiscent of the major retailer I worked for that went down in flames years ago.
What would I do? First I would give the employees the ability to actually help the customers. Instead Lampert has repeatedly made the wrong decisions on stocking the stores and on giving the employees the ability to get the products that the customers want. One story we all likely saw not long ago was how Sears and Whirlpool Appliances parted ways after something like 100 years working together (Sears selling Whirlpool Appliances). Sears used to distinguish itself as the store that carried the largest selection of appliances from the largest number of manufacturers, now that is no longer true.
Second, I would offer incentives to the employees (in the form of better pay and better benefits) who excel at their work. Sears is doing exactly the opposite of that and firing the senior employees, replacing them with young workers who will work for less while knowing vastly less.
Third, I would go back to an environment of encouraging cooperation between departments. A while ago one of Lampert's orders turned Sears into Lord of the Flies. Try this at your local store (if you still have one) - enter through a department other than the one you want to purchase from and ask them how to get to the one you want to go to (for example enter through jewelry and ask about tools). They have been told that they need to try to sell merchandise to the customer and not aid the customer in finding other departments; hence they should not tell you how to find the department you are looking for.
Fourth, I would carry American-made tools again. Craftsman tools with almost no exceptions are now all made in China. At that point Sears no longer has a competitive advantage over Home Depot, Lowes, or Harbor Frieght. Why would I want to pay for the Craftsman brand when I get the same warranty on Chinese made tools at other retailers?

I hear you. It's a terrible shame what Sear's CEO is doing to such a historic company.

More than a penny but under a dollar and still a Tool (if that matters) try: foam brush, chuck key holder or Keychain screwdriver.

I got this at the same price a while back. Honestly thought I was doing it just because it was on sale and tools are addicting. Lo and behold, I've ended up benefitting from the set every project I've worked on since having them.

One of a few buying habits I have. At least most of mine fall away. But sometimes they come back or are added to.

I have to stop buying used laptops, flashlights, used cell phones, cell phone cases-batteries-high efficiency chargers & cables, rechargeable Eneloops, stopped with pocket knives but I have to be careful & not start again. Sure I left out a few. Please forgive me all-mighty (not) internet.

You know you spend too much when stores instantly agree to refund on the few items you return.

I'm searching for a good seller to buy in bulk to resell, any suggestions?

I already have the socket extensions and knuckle.... HF version of the allen is actually 2 7 piece sets for $23ac total for 3/8 drive. Long torx might not be all that useful.

How is this set $100 non sale price laugh out loud

What would you do? Amazon is killing almost everyone and is not even profitable on their retail business (they make money from enterprise cloud services).
I think that the syw points and ecosystem with syw credit cards and partners (including Raise) is not too bad and offer greats deals pretty often.
