It's $250 per line. Your title makes it seem like I can get $1k in gift cards total.

$950 x 2 = $1900 + tax

Just got this phone but went with T-mobile. Seems like a great deal if you can tolerate ATT (just left them after years and years). Thanks for sharing!

So how does one make the best if you have a plan you don't want to upgrade and just want one phone? I know someone here is doing the math Wink

Two Note 8 - $950
Activate one phone as a new line on existing account.
Switch sim to second phone.

Question is, when can you sell the second phone and how much will that cost to lock in the $750 bill credits and $500 GC?

I agree, bill credits are a fail. At&t is Meh now. Another failed attempt to bring people over from other carriers. I was with At&t for 10 years or so and jumped to T-Mobile last week.

What plan did you have before and what plan do you have now, and with what type of savings?

Something else to keep in mind is that gift cards and bill credits will have an opportunity cost of at least $40 assuming you have a 5x/5% credit card for cell phones and 5% for Discover IT which is warehouse in Q1.
