Description says mineral crystal, product details say sapphire. I wouldn't get if it was mineral personally. Best to check the Citizen website to see if it's sapphire before pulling the trigger

It is a $120 quartz. You are buying it for the look, not high quality construction. The fake gold coating will scratch off well before a mineral crystal face does.

I hope that anyone buying this from Shnoop isn't actually expecting a new, unused watch.

It pretty much a certainty that it is new. For one it says "Condition: New" and for two it is far more likely a seller purchased a bundle of unsold stock from another vendor, than it is a seller somehow managed to collect 50 of the exact same used watch.

Looks like citizen website says Sapphire Crystal. Sweetens the deal!!

I've bought a few eco drives from shnoop before.
Took like a week to get to me but didn't like the way the men's calibre 8700 i bought last time from them looked on my wrist.

They took it back with no problem.

You are aware there are $500-1000 quartz watches right? Citizen and seiko sell among the world's highest quality quartz watches, and all of which are very high construction. This is a citizen. I'm not sure if your trying to say all quartz watches are cheap in quality.

Yes it is not real gold, Noone expects it to be. If anything you could buy a real gold/gold plated watch, and 99% of people will assume it's not actual gold, or a fake watch, and still not gold.

And while the gold plating on ALL watches (including Rolex, omega, Pete, ect) will fade, the thickness of the plating will determine the longevity. For a citizen it is safe to assume that it will last 1-3 years with daily wear.

You know what won't look good in 1-3 years with daily wear? Mineral crystal. It will have scratches and look beat up in the first 6 months. I think most people paying anything over $100 for their watch want to make sure it will continue to look Good.othwrwise they would just buy $20 watches from Walmart.

You are aware that this is not a $500-1000 quartz right? This is a $125 quartz. It makes absolutely no sense to even make the comparison. Gold plating is not the same thing as a gold pvd coating, again not sure why you are trying to compare the two. My comment was based on this watch.

Mineral crystal face will not look beat up in 6 months. My 2 year old Speedy Pro has hesitate, which is far softer than mineral crystal and does not have a single visible scratch on the face. Also is is extremely common for mineral crystal faces to have a sapphire coating. Still, mineral crystal has a far higher MOHS hardness rating that the gold pvd coating. No matter what you say, the gold coating will scratch up and show wear far quicker than the face.

My order was cancelled for no reason about 5 mins after placing it. Not going to bother trying to replace it.
