Guys, this is still on sale at Lowe's. Lowe's normally doesn't sell TVs, they just got this for Black Friday door busters, but there are still LOTS of these available, a few dozen in western Washington.

Check brickseek for inventory, and then call. You can buy over the phone. I bought two.

This beats out the Costco BF deal: https://slickdeals.net/f/10923971-samsung-40-inch-4k-uhd-hdtv-40mu6290-275-at-costco-after-25-coupon-325-for-the-43mu6290?v=1&src=SiteSearch

And Microcenter also still has it on sale for 299: https://slickdeals.net/f/10977619-samsung-mu6290-40-class-39-9-diag-4k-ultra-hd-led-smart-tv-299-99?v=1&src=SiteSearch

For those who don't know, you don't use this as an actual TV, you use it as a MONITOR. This is one of THE BEST 40 in displays as a monitor. You cannot find an actual "monitor" at this size that beats this, and certainly not for $300.

Minimal input lag, 4K @ 60 Hz 4:4:4 over HDMI with HDR support. Semi-gloss.

No freesync gsync, but just fine for casual gaming.

This isn't a monitor, it's a TV Stick Out Tongue

Sure, TV's can be used as monitors, and this may be a good TV as monitor... but it's not a monitor so I don't think that should be in the title Stick Out Tongue

Yeah OP, how about a brickseek link? Tracking down the UPC is a real pain in the ass.

It's main use is a monitor. Nobody uses this as a dedicated TV.

No one uses this TV as a TV? And you yourself, speak for the countless thousands of normal consumers who have bought this TV? Even reading reviews, lots of people have bought this to replace their current tv, their plasma, etc. just read all the links you gave, including Samsung's own website.

Plus, let's say a lot use this as a monitor, it doesn't matter because it's not a monitor. It's manufactured with TV parts, it's advertised and marketed as a TV, it's in the TV section of every single website and retail store out there... so it should be titled as a TV.

Your opinion whether it could be used as a monitor should be left for your description, not the title of the actual post/deal.
That's like making a post "Apple TV video game console $150" because I use my Apple TV to play games, not watch movies.

Awesome deal, but I'm just commenting about the title of your post, because it's incorrect.

According to you? Because you're some super smart computer geek who knows what the cool kids are doing?

The Rtings review you linked to says this is below average for a monitor. And the PWM flicker will hammer your eyes.

And you've been registered here for 4 years, you should know by now that you should never call the store for a YMMV/clearance item.

That's exactly what I did, and I bought two over the phone.

It's not YMMV at all.

I'm just saying it can be used as a monitor, as many people do. You have your opinion, I have mine.

How does this beat the BF Costco deal with $25 coupon (as you claim)?

Not everyone had access to the 25 coupon.

Anyway, it's pointless. People down voting because they disagree with an opinion, despite knowing it's a good deal. Think I'm going to pass on spending time to post deals on SD from now.

FYI, this has no 3.5mm jack.
This has no volume control through bluetooth
This has no volume control through HDMI
This won't recognize your receiver so it actually can control it through HDMI.
You can't punch in IR code for the receiver remote replacement.

If you want external speakers, you will have to use 2nd remote for volume control. I wasn't doing that for 10 years, finally got Smart Samsung, so have to go the dumb way again
