This is a non-US version but is region-free. It does not include digital codes. The fact it's region-free should probably be mentioned in the OP.

When I was a child the Police Academy movies were VERY popular with children everywhere. Yes, though supposedly catered to adults originally, they even recognized children loved the series and started going for that lower rating. I'm disappointed that this series gets absolutely zero respect for how popular it was in the 1980's and very early 90's. This was played constantly on HBO and video stores highlighted them and constantly had them rented out. What gives on the treatment 30 years later?

It was good until maybe part 4? Then when you have the main stars not in it anymore because they thought it sucks now, that's when Hollyweird should kill it. Kind of like those poor man versions of American Pie or even Revenge of the Nerds when they went on too long. Let's not even start with any of those National Lampoon movies that don't have Chevy Chase in it.

Price is too high to make this slick. You can find this for less than $15 plus a couple bucks for shipping perhaps. Example Zavvi.com

Don't forget "Airplane"! Or later, "Naked Gun".

I have the same question. Its weird, this series was hilarious and amazing and didn't rely on CGI for success. Strange its been forgotten, I'd expect a remake by now similar to the CHIP movie or 21 jump street.

It was in talks about 4 years ago. Steve Gut and Michael Winslow were confirmed at the time. So was Baba Smith but he unfortunately passed away.
