Comes with a non-standard Li-ion battery with no way to charge it. And only one mode. Pass.

In for one. Looks like a good little flashlight. The deal sounds great, including a rechargeable battery. It looks like you could use CR-123a as well. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.

Description says it takes 1x16340 rechargeable, which is equivalent to CR123A batteries (which are the non-rechargable form). Quick Google search for "16340 batteries" shows several options.

Not saying it's good (reviews are obviously mixed with another product - something Amazon has GOT to stop allowing to happen & is usually a bad sign), but let's not spread FUD about the item needlessly. We deal enough with that crap IRL everyday.

The battery is replaceable & rechargable, but even the seller's description says it gets hot. Probably okay for occasional brief use, but if it's drawing that much power (to get hot) then it probably doesn't last very long at that size.

Code works for me still.

Would love to buy a bunch to give to people so my good lights quit disappearing, but the need for a lithium cell charger kinda ruins that.

I guess that's the main reason my good lights usually come back, whoever wandered off with it has no way to charge.

Good deal, though, if you have a charger already, but to give to someone would just create a babysitting job of maintaining the batteries.
