Wireless is always either a guessing game with the best tools you have, or you have the $$$ tools to really know what you are doing.

The point to points, similar to the 5AC's would be best. It's a tight beam form and won't suffer from much interference if they are line of sight. (think of the AP's as things that are yelling at the top of their lungs between buildings to talk to each other and the point to points as using directional megaphones to direct the sound) You'll also have better network speeds between buildings. In theory, you would have your current cable modem and wifi that you currently have in your house (assuming you get enough coverage, and or you can add an AC Lite in that house as well)... you'd wire the 5AC on the back of your house pointing it to the 5AC on the other house. The wire from the 5AC on the other house would go into a switch and then you can have something like the AC Lite in the office, as well as the ability to hard wire the office as well.

Everything would be run off of your home router (dhcp, internet, etc) and you'd end up with 2 buildings on the same network. All of it easily setup and configured with the Ubiquiti software.

This was $70 from NewEgg's eBay store recently and now $70 directly from NewEgg.

FYI, $10 Off promo also applies to Cloud Key, bringing it down to $69.99 as well.

I think this is a more reasonable price for these considering there is a lot of other mesh networks out there around the same price per unit.
what other mesh networking around the $70 mark?

For your WiFis. It's an access point, not a router.

I have AT&T wi-fi router + modem. I do not have any other range extenders.
How do I use / set-up this thing?

Plug it into your network... First one must be wired. Install the software, set the config... Off you go

Do each of these have to be wired to the main router? Or can I buy one wire that, and the other 2 I buy can be like extenders
