Switching from At&T to Verizon. Getting an iPhone 8. Best deals?

1 10 December 5, 2017 at 08:12 AM
After years of spotty service from At&t, I'll be switching to Verizon and getting an iPhone 8. Where is the best retailer to get it from? I'm also looking to sell my iPhone 6s. Example: If I go through Costco, I can get a $125 Costco cash card. If I go through Verizon, I can get up to $200 for my trade.

I'm looking for the best combo of $$ for trade in and retailer perks. Thanks!

Were with Verizon and I manage my families large account and I'm always looking for the best time to strike (upgrade) so I'm pretty well versed in this matter. Last month I upgraded one of the lines from a 6 Plus to an 8 Plus so pretty much your same scenario.

The $125 Costco cash card is weak. You can expect $200 cash card from all major retailers 2-3 days prior to any major Holiday.

There is a caveat. Most of the big gift cards require you to come in. For example I woke up at 5:30 am and waited (outside of Sams) for 20 minutes to secure the above mentioned Iphone 8 Plus not to mention the dread of being among the masses of Holiday shoppers (and the full hour it took to get the deal done). So I guess you need to ask yourself if that's worth.

The $200 trade in deal isn't too shabby.

I could sweeten the deal by providing you with a referral link that would get you (and myself) a $50 gift card.
