might b off by a few grams or so but if your dealer / buyer has no issue with a few gram error margin variance , then it should work out just perfect ?

I have a different one that was cheap as well and love it. It is now part of the gear. Always travels with me.
Gone are the stand on a scale, break your back, with a suitcase days.

I have this one in service about 5 yrs. Except mine wasn't Samsonite branded and less than $10.

Does anyone happen to know how long economy shipping takes from them? I've searched through the site but can't find anything conclusive.

Does anyone know if this scale remembers the unit preference? I have a similar one but that defaults to lbs every time you turn it on and it's a pain to switch to kg.

When I flew for turkey day I went with the stand on the scale get my weight, step off and pick up suitcase, get back on scale and do math. 49# going, 49.5# coming home. Success!

Tho forethought and $5 might have been easier, the real life math lesson was good for my kids

I'm concerned about the battery life on this. Would be annoying to have to find batteries as you're packing and rushing the night before.

There are some version that use AAA batteries. I just bought one from Amazon a week ago. Works well but you do have to lift the luggage of the ground and hold it for a few seconds in order for the scale to calculate it.

You can always double check and calibrate it. My guess is +/- 2 lbs, which depending on how much of a **** the baggage handler is, could cause you to have to pull out a few of your clothes and layer up.
