Gym shoes. The midsole material looks like Boost for a reason (google Puma NRGY vs Adidas Boost [lmgtfy.com]).

It's a firmer boost type material. Not the same feeling but cool nonetheless.

I mean it looks similar but as a "feeling" standpoint I'd need a review.

Affirmative. Firmer than Ultraboost, but similar to lower boost models...i.e. NMD, Pureboost, Iniki etc. Still comfortable.

No...Just no. There is no alternative to Boost and every single shoe ever made is "firmer" than UB.

Puma is actually the ones who started brainstorming and developing this type of cushion material first. its pretty much just reformulated TPU plastic. which most shoes already use.

Puma worked with BASF to develop the material but BASF ended up going to adidas and released it first.

Random fact: Adidas and Puma were created by brothers and started in the same factory in Germany.

I'd rather just buy replica Adidas ones if I had to cheap out.

In for one. I waited for the price to drop on these since v2 came out.

Tried these on at Footlocker a while back and was surprised how comparable they are to Boost tech.

These are quite ugly, I'd rather go to an Adidas outlet during a holiday and get a clearance Boost/Bounce shoe... PureBoosts and Alphabounces are great shoes for the price Wink

I own a few UBs and yes as casual shoes they are one the most comfortable shoes....temporarily. After a few months they bottom out and are not as bouncy anymore like any other shoe.

And for running forget about it, durability is definitely not it's strong suit.

I'll never understand the issue people claim to have with the durability. I logged over 1k miles in my gen 1 before the tread was completely worn. The Gen 2 I'm currently using has over 300 miles and the Continental tread looks just as good as it did when I started.

Well you probably don't weigh 300 pounds like your average Slickdealer 😃. The poundage might wear them Ultraboosts out faster when walking around Walmart.
