This is not a natural match to cool skin, eye, veins, person. The C in the formula stand for copper weighted color tones and being permanent there's no good way to fix this without more damage. Unless you are warm toned, brown eyed, warm skin and veins and want a coppery look over a "light brown" then skip this. Great quality if you want that in permanent color.

For light brown I suggest a less damaging(by about half), more graceful (with future roots so less coloring till later) Demi kit [for Dark-(tone?)-Blonde and darker]. Like Natural Instincts (when on sale; no affiliation). Plus Pervana (spelling?) demi color remover could fix mistakes or tones (don't make them in the first place) without the harshness of a permanent color remover (L'Oreal for permanent color remover after resting and deep conditioning).

Do not color your hair more than about every 2 or even 3 months. Darker is easier. Stay and pick by your natural root color (before any Greys). Else you will eventually have root issues. Mainly color areas you want to change and only put the color on the other for about 5 minutes; to match the tones all over and yet not damage already colored hair. [Interleaved grays would mainly be only on new roots the second time around].

Grey's need 5 minutes longer (go by directions) and you start the timer after you get the color in and extremely saturated on all hairs(quickly). Yet no longer! If you need darker don't do it by leaving it beyond recommended times. Grey's color better the darker you go; but stay at natural root color. You can effect slight highlighted front strips by leaving those to the last few minutes; but not if you are going a different tone (warm/cool on hair).

Remember any color (that you don't later like) best ware-out rather than remove soon with more damage. Match the chart on the back/side of the box to your root hair before to see the after. If you want ash you'll want to buy ash, apply to your ash and even add blue food color drops (40?) if you pull reddish/orange. [Natural cool for hair is not as cool for art projects etc...].You can hide some damage (a pain); but you can only cut it off or grow new. Nothing really "repairs" split ends (sorry). Healthy hair is better than perfect color over unhealthy hair. Keep heat and shampoo (color safe lower sudsing) to a minimum, and use dry shampoo to extend also. There is no coloring without needing damage control and changing the way you fix your hair.

Not really my color either, but I was thinking I might buy it for the conditioner packet in it. Deep conditioning packets are usually around $2 apiece, and the conditioners that come with hair dye are just as good, if not better than some I've bought.

I've got a couple of these from past deals that I bought to fulfill S&S for 15%, and Im wondering if I should use it or if the color is really bad and thats why it's always this price. I have black hair and Id be just using it to cover grays. Ive used dark brown in the past and I figure this cant be much different. Anyway...for anyone whos actually used this, chime in please

Great product to cover your grays, but really wouldn't advise to use this color it's much too light for black hair.

I've used this brand for a while now at full price (medium brown) love the applicator attachment as it makes it so much easier. Coverage is good and color is good.
