Agreed. I'd rather just pay an extra $2.50 and get the one with replaceable bulb [walmart.com] for versatility. I have a 900 lumen bulb in mine and even that doesn't seem too bright.

agreed. 5W fixed bulb. Here's a regular one for $2 more. Anyone have a better priced floor lamp?

"No bulb to replace ever"

Yeah, I'd much rather throw the whole lamp away than replace a light bulb. Talk about wasteful. I've noticed this lately with many lighting products - it's an instant deal breaker.

I agree - needs a brighter bulb.
I just bought this "corn bulb" [amazon.com] for effectively $5 ($26-$16 rebate -$5 for slow shipping) that puts out $3,500 lumens. Might be a bit much for a floor lamp Smilie

To be fair it's an LED which is probably rated really high hours. The electrical components die on LED bulbs before the LED dies though.

Well, on a $5 lamp I wouldn't be too worried about the possible waste of money if the bulb dies early (had several LED's burn out quickly), but throwing away a fixture is a total waste. I've seen many bathroom vanity lights ($80+) with these built in led's, too much money to replace over a burned out light, especially when they have 3 lights per fixture, once one goes out its trash.

Youre making me worried. I just got an LED with non replaceable light for the bathroom. If looks nice but I feel like it does worry me if it can't be replaced. I'll look to see how hard is it is DIY but I can't trust these companies to make one that doesn't die. I had one LED fail on me already. It dimmied then died. The other ones I have are fine.
