Honestly, with 4G of ram I wouldn't say this is much of a deal. In limited experience with a 4g ram device with windows 10, it wasn't worth it and browsing the web was a chore. I'd say saving up for 8g is worth the investment or you could spend that much for something like the eve.

Agreed, they got me for like 30 seconds, until I saw 4 ram.
Instead of free sleeve I would rather see 8 gb of ram

For the most part, 4GB of RAM is enough for Windows 10. If you're using this as your desktop replacement, then go for 8GB. For an "on-the-go" device, 4GB of RAM has been plenty for anything I need to do.

Seems like a pretty good deal. A week and a half ago, a Surface Pro i5/4GB/128GB without the keyboard and sleeve was going for the same $799, and that got 4 thumbs up.

Agreed, have 4g s4 and it does everything I need it to do, but it's not like I'm running Photoshop or anything intensive

My wife wants a tablet to surf the web and do girly stuff on, would this be overkill? Shes mainly watching facebook live streams and other netflix shows.

If this is your main laptop, skip 4 GB of RAM. It's insulting that they even offer this option in 2017 for such an expensive device. It's up there with Apple keeping 1 GB of RAM on their devices for the longest time.

Agreed 8gb would be ideal, but I have this exact spec and saying that browsing the web with this is a chore is simply not true. 4gb is fine for most things unless you are using 20+ chrome tabs plus several other programs.

Microsoft is becoming more like apple releasing premium laptops with 4gb ram with a high price tag. 8gb should be the minimum for a premium laptop imo.

Why do you people complain about 4GB ram? I'm using a desktop with 4GB ram and always have at least 20 tabs open in chrome browser. Still have over a 1GB available/free ram.

BTW, costco has similar deal for $900 but includes a pen... is the pen worth it?
