I loved Mafia 2. Currently playing Mafia 3 on Xbox One.

Mafia 3 feels like they tried to go too open world with it. There's a lot of time-wasting collectibles that serve as constant distractions for the OCD types, several repetitive side missions, and an unlocking/hacking mechanic that adds nothing to the actual gameplay yet you end up repeating hundreds of times. (Luckily it only slows you down about 5-10 seconds each time.) Also, the NPC AI for enemies and police is some of the worst I can remember.

It would be a stronger game if they had trimmed the fluff and focused more on quality over quantity, because when it comes down to it the main campaign is intriguing and the shooting/driving/stealth is enjoyable.

So it's not a horrible mess, just not as good as it could have been if it was more refined. Still, I'm about 25 hours in and having enough fun to continue. Recommended fans of the second game should at least try the first 5 hours and see if the story grabs you enough to continue.

10 bucks might be worth the entire intro maybe. But the actual meat of the game you will find out is actually just the same couple of missions over and over and over again. I thoroughly enjoyed the beginning of the game though.

It's a game you have to play in portions. Keeping ur playtime 2hrs or less when u play. It's not a everyday game. It's worth $10

How does it compare to the first two? I really enjoyed their storyline gameplay.
