PSA: BestBuy charged me $19.99 for Destiny 2 Beta

-12 Deal Score

I pre-ordered the PC version of Destiny 2 and received a code for the beta which after playing I decided to cancel my order. I just checked my card statement and noticed a charge for $19.99 and found that it was for the beta code. There is a link to dispute the charge which does not seem to work for me.

TLDR: Just be aware that you may have been charged $20 for a beta.

This happened to me as well with the PS4 version back in September. I just gave them a call and they reversed the charge right away.

They do that cause when it's beta time people pre order and once they get the code they cancel. I bet soon enough they won't be giving refunds back when people try this

I think like 20 years ago when you signed up for AOL for 2 years they gave you a PC for free (or thereabouts) but then due to rules in certain states you could cancel the AOL and not pay them back for anything. Last deal I can recall!

BB is the best deal for buying video games period if you snag the 2 year Gamer Club. 20% off, frequent $10 vouchers and bonus reward points for all gaming purchases. But outside of that, I never buy anything from them. Buying the Farpoint VR AIM controller bundle for $60 alone basically paid for my membership.

They will refund you or credit you this amount. Contact forums.bestbuy.com and search for people there and you'll find all the threads leading you to the right place.

they usually have the best deals for new games with gcu. last year they were offering deals on some non related gaming stuff if you had gcu. visa checkout discounts were also great last year. not so much this year
