That's beautiful. But $999 the same price on Samsung and Amazon, not a Slickdeal. Looks like Samsung lowered the price and everyone matched.

I saw this for $800 a couple weeks ago....I was surprised to see it that low, cause it was $1500 just a month ago.

I checked, it was Tigerdirect through eBay for $789.

In 2017, any monitor bigger than 27" should be 4k.

The next generation of this screen is gonna be dope. This is just a little too low in resolution but from far the most impressive screen I have seen irl

If it was 1440p, it would be much more expensive.

This is basically the exact same height as a 27" 16x9 screen. http://www.displaywars.com/49-inc...-inch-16x9

1080 isnt totally ridiculous at this height.

I think ppl are forgetting this is a 21:9 ultra widescreen and yes, it should have been a 1440p, but i dont recall a 4K ultra-wide format yet (it would have to be 2160p vertical res and whatever the ratio). Most vid cards have a hardtime pushing 4K at solid 60fps on all games, so to expect an ultra-wide 4K at this time is unrealistic.

That said, I'm kinda sad 21:9 didn't take off as I had hoped Xbone X and PS4pro would support it, as well as movies native without doing custom trimming in VLC. Ultrawide looks beautiful and way better exp than multi-monitor like Eyefinity.
