Good basic receiver if you don't need the bells and whistles like object based audio, 2.2 HDCP or 4k@60 passthrough. Sold by Electronic Express which is an authorized online Sony retailer.

Use code PHOLIDAY20 to bring price down to $118.40 shipped, no tax for most.

I looked around web and came away with feeling this is not HDCP 2.2 compliant. Also Sony doesn't list it in their specs (https://www.sony.com/electronics/...fications) either.

The title says it is HDCP 2.2 compliant. Can anyone point me at some documentation where Sony confirms this?

EDIT: The title says it is NOT HDCP 2.2 from OP and I read it the other way. thank you.

Using this as my first receiver. Had it for about 2 years now and it's great. I don't remember how much I got it for but they're usually much more than $120 for a comparable one. This one doesn't have bluetooth and the front usb port is only for iPhone (doesn't work with my Android phone).

I don't want a fancy receiver but just want something to connect to my projector, laptop, phone, speakers, & possibly Wii. If I want to play music on my phone w/o using a USB port, can I just plug in a BT dongle to this?

I do have a 4k TV (Sony XBR75X940D), original ps4, and nvidia shield. The shield will be moved at some point to another room and TV but it will be connected here for the time being. Should I go with this one or the Sony 750. I realize both are budget receivers. I am just looking to support external tower speakers and control everything through the Sony TV remote which is why I'd like to stick to Sony brand receiver.

It's a brilliant solution, can cast anything to it, audio files or streaming or youtube video or anything from any tab. The only problem is, they simply die on me, two of them in the last year have quit working in the follwing way- Can still link to them, get the test tones to play through, then it claims to be linked on my end, except it's not. Resetting them, same thing.

So bizarre, happened twice in a row with audio chromecasts.
