Thanks. Son had asked for this toy and I knew it had been $99 before. Set an alert for it and jumped on it as soon as I got the notification.

It is on my 13 yr old son's list too. Saw it two days ago. How is it? Does anyone have actual own this kit here?

I own both the old and new overdrive kits.

They are pretty fun, but need a tablet/phone to use with it. One caveat about this, the additions are very expensive. (tracks, cars, trucks, guardrails, etc) so if you plan to expand it, prepare to spend $$$$

Got this last year when it was $99 at Toys R Us. Like PP stated need to spend another $300 to get everything for a nice setup and it just sits and collects dust.

I got it for $120 a couple years ago when it first came out. It's okay ... we drag it out to play it once in awhile, but having to keep on recharging the car after 15-20 minutes is a drag.

Expansion is expensive. I have been thinking of buying a 2nd set or the Fast And Furious set, rather than buying extra pieces.

Got it and an expansion set for the kids last year. They played with it maybe 5 times. They hold their value though, sold it on eBay over black Friday weekend for over $200.

My kids love it, 5 & 7. It is something they pull out and build and play with only every other week or so though. But when they do play they put a good few hours in.

As others have said additional items are pricey. And you'll need/want at least 2 additional cars for 4 way play. I have been looking for sales on additional vehicles and not seen a single sale this year. Last year TRU even had a B1G1 1/2 off, this year nothing so far. Bummer.

I did a PM on the F&F kit today at target. They had the speed and turn track packs marked down to $5.98 each, so I was able to double my track for less than $25. I may head back and grab a few more.

Get the starter set...go to Craig's list and ebay and buy used sets to add track and cars. Its a blast to play. And if you have kids and cats...BOOYA!
