I don't doubt the quality of these knives, but 5" is more of a cheese knife than a chef knife.

Good deal. I have this knife and be warned, it is sharp AF. Seriously, if you had an intruder in the house and had to defend yourself, forget the gun and grab this for some special torture!

Yup I've used this brand for the last decade as a meat cutter. Excellent knives for the price

Wow, the price of the 8" Chef's knife has shot up since I last looked at knives. I remember them being standard around $28 a year or two back and would go on sale for a couple bucks cheaper.

Get the 8 inch or better yet, the 10 inch.

If you already have the 8", the 5" is great for quicker, smaller jobs. I use them both all the time.
