I was able to get this even cheaper with points/cash I already had and still got the $102.90.

$289.99, get $102.90 rewards cash = $187.09

I don't know that this is that slick of a deal. It's gone on sale in the $180's several times. This deal might net you in that some $180-ish ballpark, but you're forced to buy other products with the SWY rewards that will expire if you don't use them.

Would I be able to use the $40 cashback I got from the previous purchase?

This might be slick, depending how you work it.

But if you pay $290 plus tax for this overpriced item from Sears, then buy another overpriced item from Sears with the $102 in points, the deal isn't very slick. Especially if the points have a short fuse, and you have to find something to buy before they expire at an overpriced Sears retail price.

You have to play your cards right on this one, or the slick deal could turn into a bum deal.

Don't own any WEN brand tool but from my understanding, this brand is entry-level.
I've seen Ridgid and Dewalt sell at low $200 in the past - I would spend my money on that than this.

The title is a little misleading in the way SD breaks the line. Looks like the planer is $102. Not downvoting, just giving you my impression. Maybe add the actual price in the title?

I have some WEN branded tools. They are basically Harbor Freight quality (or maybe a small step higher). No way WEN is even in the same ballpark as Ridgid and Dewalt.

You are assuming this (and other) items is overpriced - which it is not.

Sorry, flawed logic.
