Decent deal, if you wanna buy into their ecosystem. Personally, Arlo is hard to beat with their 7 days of free cloud storage, although it's only 1gb of space, it holds a lot. Tired of all these monthly fees for everything nowadays... Ring is bad enough at $30/yr for one doorbell.

Agree. Bottom line is the cloud is not free. One thing that I like about Canary is it would record the entire activity and not just a clip of what happens. Also the startup cost of Arlo is significant. I have also used ZMODO for Wifi IP cameras. They are cheap and work well. But the app is quite limited. So many options hard to decide lol.

Night Vision - High-quality automatic night vision (HAHAHAHAHHA)
No mention of how many megapixels, I'm guessing 1.3MP

This sounds like a nice piece of crap.

Just search for Arlo on here and you'll see a lot of recent deals. Go with the Arlo Pros in the wireless versions tho.

If you're on a budget and just need an indoor cam, I recommend https://www.wyzecam.com. $26 shipped for a 1080p cam with night vision, and it has free 14 day cloud storage for video clips. Can't beat that value.

Overall, I have had good luck with these. I have several around the house. They have free cloud storage for 24 hours. That is plenty of time for me to view any events. I integrate activating and deactivating them through a Wink shortcut and IFTTT. I like the built in temperature and humidity monitors. The cameras have detection zones. They have been messing around with the free plan by adding 24 hours of cloud storage to all cameras, but removing the night mode function. Previously, the 24 hours was divided between the cameras, so if you had 4 cameras it was only 6 hours of cloud storage. The night mode was recently added back in to the free plan. The Flex battery powered camera recently got a firmware update and appears to be more responsive.

Before anybody wanted to get this, make sure you watch the latest review on these. I got the Arlo around BF from Costco, I think I will keep that instead.

Hi Calvyn,

the cameras are 1080p, as per the specs listed at Costco page.

Thanks Sharpie2014,

Good video enjoyed it. Note the Arlo Pro also suffers from some of what the reviewer was mentioning - only able to get a 30 second clip unless you subscribed.

The Arlo Pro can be configured to take 10s-120s clips, but for continuous video recording you have to look at the wired for power options ( example Arlo Pro 2 ) and have to pay extra for cloud service for CVR.

By the way the FLEX is built like a TANK. It will be able to handle the outside elements well.

Most of the negative reviews are related to the cost of the cloud membership and Canary's business decision to limit functionality based on subscription status. I am sure Arlo is better, and it should be because it is not cheap!!

I am trying to get this to record my baby when I am at work. It's cool to have those special moments saved up.

Have you used EzCam? what has been your experience? How do you access the recordings stored on the SD Card? How do you like the app? Thanks!
