Tool doesn't license their music to ANY streaming service, and as far as I can tell they also don't sell digital copies, which is just weird for the 21st century. Luckily/unluckily, they've only released 4 albums after this 1992 EP record. I finally saw them live this year; I'd definitely put them on your bucket list. Great stocking stuffer.

A few copycat bands to consider checking out while continuing to wait and see if a new album will ever come to fruition Wink Also - A Perfect Circle's latest track (I believe): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SDvfbvuJtS8

Fun fact: they don't sell digital copies because their contract stipulates that ALL digital revenue goes to their awful record label. So they're giving the label the finger.

This is a good price if you want to give this as a gift, but I see this in every used record store I go to for $5 or so.

Does that also explain why they haven't released an album in 10+ years? Are they stuck with some awful record deal that they have decided to wait out and let expire instead of fulfill and "escape"? I also wonder why bands like System of a Down have stopped recording. There haven't been hardly any bands in the last 10 years to pick up the torch and carry on in the rock world.

"Jerk Off" is one of my favorites of theirs - the reason I still have this CD rip on my phone.

The absolute hardest Tool album. My favorite overall.

Tool has been in a long running lawsuit with an insurance company of all things that has precluded them from releasing new music. It finally got resolved in 2016?? I think anyway. But now they have do many other side projects they stay busy there as well. I will be happy if they give us one more album.

Soad went on an indefinite hiatus about 5 years ago. I think they tour but aren't planning to record any new music.

Hasn't MJK always been a bit of an *$$hole? Nah, he's just very opinionated, and doesn't mind forcibly sharing those opinions :p

But seriously awesome album. I actually bought this after I heard Sober for the first time, and I was instantly hooked on TooL. I absolutely cannot wait for their new stuff, though I do hope they return to the harder side of things (more so than 10,000 Days).

I had a friend once......

I didn't know that about Tool and digital download s. I'm guessing their vinyl don't come with a download card then.

Thanks a lot for these! I listened through most of them, and they aren't half bad. But, they definitely wear their influence on their sleeves. Samadhi sounds a bit too similar, though, like they're an Argentinian Tool cover band. If I could understand them, I'd probably be more into it. Rishloo is definitely worth checking out, though, so thanks again and repped!

I was lucky enough to find out about Tool right before they got big. Some stoner I worked with at the time turned me onto them. Got to see them a few times before they really blew up.

Completely agree about 10,000 days and wanting them to get heavier again.

On a side note, I run into Adam Jones every few months or so. Ended up chatting with him for a few minutes and he was a super nice guy.

Can't wait until they release new music. Supposedly the album is close somewhat but recently I heard Maynard say only two songs are recorded or something.
