Link to BGE90M on Newegg [newegg.com]
Coupon code emcxbcrh2

This is a backup battery to keep home network gear running during a power outage. It has three outlets - two prong only - widely spaced to accept the wall warts used by modems, routers, and VOIP gateways like Obihai.

For some pricing perspective, earlier today a smaller, more limited unit was $30 although that offered a removable battery. And two days ago the BGE70 - little brother to this unit - was posted for $20. Since then the '90 dropped in price, and the coupon has not yet expired.

The code is from that thread by sr71. It's supposed to apply to the BGE70 but I just purchased a BGE90 with the same code. Be sure you select the correct unit. The '90 has a larger battery and offers USB charging too.

Also a nod to rurabe who noted the low price before coupon.

EDIT:
@40 watts, BGE90M runtime 74 minutes, weight 6.6 pounds
@40 watts, BGE70 runtime 45.2 minutes
@40 watts, BGE50ML runtime 41 minutes, weight 3 pounds

PS> And that site which must not be named has 2% back, so that's nice.

make sure you check the date of the battery. if you get an old one, contact APC and have them send you a new battery

Already have 3. These are great for keeping low power devices running during outages.

Why not...I don't think I'll ever be needing my wireless network if the power goes out, will probably resort to my phone, but this will probably work for the wife that works from home sometimes. It can keep her up and running during a power outage on her laptop.

Used shoprunner for shipping, I'm assuming there are no issues if I need to return this with shoprunner...it's still free return shipping as usual?

I previously purchased the APC be425m and was disappointed that it emits a high pitched transformer whine. Have you noticed any electrical noise with this model?

These things are awesome. Just had a power outage for an hour and we had internet working all the time.

Bought one without USB ports. Would not buy again unless three prong as this limits use even for routers and APs. Also seems very sensitive and activates whenever I print.

Why can't I use my larger UPS with my router? I've read lower power devices can have issues.
