I was told by Walmart, when you return TVs to Walmart, they throw them away or donate them. Steals or deals?
I returned 2 perfectly fine TVs to Walmart B&M today.
As usual, the return desk associate tore through the packages like an animal.
I asked if the TVs go back to the manufacturer, and 2 of the associates said no, they throw them away. Then they clarified that they donate them to some place or send to electronics recycling.
They don't even do open-box.
You return a mint $1000 TV, and they send it straight to recycling ???!
Immediately I wondered how we could intercept these throwaways.
Has anyone gone dumpster diving at Walmart for TVs?
