No anymore and It's better built and worth it. There are many options. Beware knock offs that fall apart and lead folks away from better DE shaving. read the reviews. Thanks for posting your deal never the less.

The real deal now is two Ming Shi WITH bases for $20. Yes $10 for a NICE solid, well tested/reviewed adjustable and that used better 8 cent blades!

That continues to add up to more than $500 minimum a decade saved. Against Fusion on sale! About $1 to $2 a year for longer lasting DE blades custom to your stubble. Get a sampler.

No pricey electrics, clean bay, cord, batts, $ head replacement and they are also cordless!

I bought a DE89 and used it for a few years. Honestly on my face at least, the shave is inferior to a cartridge razor.

Wondering if worth trying another DE or if they're all the same.

Giving you the benefit of the doubt; you just need to select the right closeness in your razor and just enough blade sharpness to cut through your stubble well. Then it's just a matter of 10% extra DE technique; which you probably have shaving that long.

Here's the deal. The closer you setup closer on the first pass; the more light on the angle(within the tight safety range) you need to go. Balance. This is mainly a larger and so closer gap. For the balde; a Derby is smoother and conversely a Gillette (DE) Sharp Edge (Yellow box) is the sharpest that still strangely offers some smoothness. Feather is sharpest. It's more the holder (Gap and all) to keep mild while starting (or restarting).

Practical application: Order the new $8 "Ming Shi", quality, affordable adjustable; which is a Merkur Futur clone(patent ran out). Start at mild and adjust slowly to closer AFTER face acclimating. For a blade; go by what you know and make sure it's not either dragging or so sharp that it causes slight "burn" to delicate skin (nothing coconut oil can't fix). Every bodies different.

What's your stubble like? I can guess at a recommendation for blade; but everyone just has to try them. The metrics are to numerous. All kinds of hones, treatments, materials and thicknesses etc. Yet it's easy to tell by using them.

Keep your angle up. (light!) If you want to speed shave set up mild. You simply can do no better than Double Edge Safety Razor wet shaving.

Shave after shower.

To be clear this razor looks like Weishi/Micro touch razor. However some sell really crappy put together misaligned, ugly copies of it. Any razor should have great finished, alignment and stability. I like those that automatically keep the blade in even alignment.

If this is a good Wieshi then it is great. Nice mild and easy to load. Great to start with for everyone.

There is another like this that is thick on the sides plate things. It's better still.

You can also find a long handle Weishi. It's an identical shaving head.

Make sure whereever you buy from you have a good ratings and return policy.

I only received a crappy made copy just one time. It makes me wonder who sponsoring crappy DE razors. There are so many goods ones starting at $2! I would no go over $27 max.

Consider the Mentor razor at Italian Barber if you're older. Get the German 37 head to try too. Three pieces razors let you pick your handle. I like a shorty handle because it's easier to work under the jawline. A flatter head also gets under the nose better.

Find the most recommended DE razors and pick the inexpensive one you like. That simple.

Shop around.
