Would stay away from this model. Bought 2 of these awhile back and both have had the same issue with the power button becoming unresponsive like some of the other reviewers on Amazon.

Picked up two of these at Sam's last year for ~$50. Made a drastic improvement in the air quality in my house.

I have this model. It's great. Been using for two years already and no problems. Thinking about a second one now.

Grabbed a second one.

Bought two of these earlier in the year from Kohl's for around the same price after a rebate. Have run one almost nonstop and the other one only at night. No problems with either unit and they definitely pull in the dust as well as most room odors. Highly recommend at this price!

if you dont need it to cover 465 sqft, I recommend the Winix from costco as it has 2 years of filters:

https://www.costco.com/Winix-C535...reId=10301

This was $100 a few weeks ago, but at 139, its still a great deal. Its runner up to the coway from wirecutter:

I bought two of the winix models when they were on sale at costco and they are working like a charm here in Santa Barbara. The Costco in Goleta still had some when I went Wednesday

Made in China piece of junk. The plastic smells like cancer, like all other Chinese products. Don't recommend. Get the Winix 5500-2 instead. It was on sale like a few weeks ago for $125, and it's made in Korea.
97% of items in world are made in China. I don't see any point in saying abt china make.. its the design and product quality from company which matters

So is the Coway the best one at this price level? Could I use it in a smaller room with a lower setting or higher "cleaning". Sorry I'm just starting to learn about air purifiers.

Think I have many products made in China are far better than made in the place you recommended.

Avoid Chinese products when you can or get cancer.
Treatment equipment for cancer are also made in China 😜.. it's not the country make.. its the company which decides the quality..
