i believe it comes with a protected cell. either case, it's regulated, so unprotected should be fine in u use internal charging

I ordered 3 of these from gearbest, one for me of course and two for gifts. They arrived in about 2 weeks. I have another imalent torch which I really like so I thought I would really like these too. The flashlight output is awesome, but I really have issues with the very small and hard to find buttons that toggle the brightness settings and turn on and off...the other night I was struggling turning the light on because I couldn't locate the on button!! How about just a tail switch!!!!!! If it had a tail switch it quite possibly would be my favorite light, and I have quite a few

If I want something a little brighter, and don't mind it being larger, what can I get for under $120?

Deal is dead. Title is also misleading. Here's a single cell light, in a smaller package, that's BRIGHTER.

Maybe, but it's out of stock.
Im going to try and order the one posted, but $110 seems about the right price for something like this. A little less expensive on Amazon than the $110 price, and easier to return. Although not that great on reviews.

Lol, I was thinking around $100, not $200+!

The best multi-cell high lumen flashlights I would recommend are Noctigon M43, Astrolux MF01, and Manker MK34. They come in nichia 219c 90CRI emitter version. Nichia emitters, although is not as bright as Cree emitters, Nichia allows far better color renderin, which is more important than lumens in allowing you to make out details.
