MIGHT be adequate for a small 4cyl or motorcycle. You can find more powerful/versatile lithium jump packs for $10-15 bucks more. While still on the cheaper side, that would be money well spent vs buying this and having it ONLY be able to jump start small displacement engines. What if anything over a 2.0L needs a jump? Your screwed.

This is a case where bigger is always better.

And that air compressor? Not even going there.

I know so little about cars and batteries, but I've been told I should get one of these. The trouble is each one I've seen on sale so far (like this one or at Costco) is rated at 400A or less. My car says it needs 495 CCA (cold cranking amps).

Will this 400A battery still start a car that requires 495 CCA? How about 540 CCA (which my other car says it requires)?

Also, the price shows $34.95. Did it drop or is there a $5 shipping fee that will be added?

Agreed. Specs is weak 👎

Go with something more powerful even if you need to spend a few bucks more. You'll be happy you did.

Yep. Had to get a noco for my boat

Not an actual boat. Mustang and camaro owners love calling my car a boat.

What's the engine size?

Thanks! Picked one up for the wife's car. I've got a hybrid, so in the event I need to jump start her car, this will make things easier.

WEAK

Both the battery jump starter and the compressor. Unless you're driving a tiny 2L gas vehicle...and don't care about possibly using it on any other vehicle/friend, hard pass. This bundle is like a child's toy.

The usual problem for LiPo jump starters is they self discharge over time but they shouldn't.

I got two, can't remember the brands but one dies completely in 3 monhts, they other one holds for 6+. So it's a gamble, be prepared to charge/check them often.

The engine size matters? I thought the required cold cranking amps (CCA) are what mattered. Shows how little I know. One car is a 2.4L V4 listing 490 CCA and the other is a 5.4L V8 recommending 650 CCA (I have a note that 540 is the minimum).

If this battery can only provide 400A (CCA?) it seems it would be insufficient for either car.

I think you're saying what I suspected above... that 400A isn't enough to start most cars such as the 2 we have which requires 490 or 540 (650) CCA?

Well, both are related. 2.4L V4 - is this a typo? If you meant V6 - this battery will be too weak.

For the 5.4l V8 - by the bigger battery you can.

I have a GOOLOO 700a that has started my 4,6, and small v8 with no problem. Holds a charge forever it seems like. Have charged it once in the 8 months I have owned it. Amazon now has a 1000a for the same price the 700a was earlier in the year.
