Just cant believe we are at a place where the sale price on a 1050 is $99. What a terrible time for someone to have to build a PC

What is a good solid card for playing the latest games at 1080p? I am still on Intel hd520 onboard graphics and I am tired of waiting for prices to drop.

If you want to be able to run highest detail settings in most games at 1080p at good frame rates, then I wouldn't get anything less than a GTX 1060 3gb. Preferably an RX570 or RX580 4gb card, though. Or a GTX 1060 6gb, if you can find a good deal. If you can deal with 1080p at medium to lower settings, then a GTX 1050 Ti or RX560 (both 4gb) would be the next best options. GTX 1050 (2gb) would be the next best option beyond those, but expect for sure to have to run medium to low detail settings and frame rates that are hit or miss depending on the game.
