I bought this TV on BF from Fry's and returned it. Even after adjusting it the picture was too dark for me even for my bedroom. Went with a Samsung instead, even for about 100 bucks more it has a much better picture. Just my 2 cents.

IPS panel , decent for PC monitor. If it's for watching TV, best spend $30 more for the Samsung 40" MU6290 per my eyes and and RTINGS.com. The Sammy does fine as a monitor as well but worst viewing angles than the LG.

Thank you very much - got one! Perfect tv for the kitchen.
I passed on Sammy deals - no com port, no ip controls. LG's are much easier to integrate.

Been waiting for a local store to match ebay or give a good price on the samsung 6290 or 6300.

Yep.

Well technically the BF price was for the 6200, not the 6300. They're the same thing though, just that the 6200 is a BF model that's slightly thicker. Otherwise they're all the same.

Bought this TV a couple of months ago. The picture quality is great for a sub $300 4k TV. For the average viewer, this is more than enough. Unless you're working in photography or cinema where color accuracy and dynamics are of the utmost importance (there's purpose built monitors for that), this TV is great. Speakers are a little lackluster, but I don't think there's any flat panel TV's with great speakers.

Buy the LG V30 or V30+. Get up to a $400 rebate when you purchase another LG product.

i just got this same tv from ebay/buydig over thanksgiving for $300 shipped no tax.
am very pleased with it since webos can tune my hdhomerun and view files on my nas.
my only quibble is the narrow viewing angle and need to use ARC for an audio out.
it's light weight (plastic shell) low energy consuming (when on home not showroom mode),
it makes a great master bedroom tv, and has low input lag for ps4 games in the den.
HDCP 2.2 and HDR inputs do register properly with compatible devices.
i wish it had better local dimming, but i didn't expect it to at this low price.
