EDIT: As enzolt pointed out below, the parts I linked are only USB 3.0. IF you need 3.1, then obviously they won't do. Low priced 3.1 parts seem hard to come by.

eh... if you're going to buy an add-in USB card, I think the least you should look for it one with an internal USB header too. Then you can connect to your case or to additional front panel breakout box instead of constantly reaching behind your case.

Functionality and reliability of add-on cards is key, so I'd much sooner spend a few more bucks for a known quantity rather than a no-name product with a dozen reviews posted over a couple of years, mostly from people who got them for free in exchange for their "honest and unbiased"Roll Eyes (Sarcastic) reviews....

Yes, that was the original idea with USB. This can work with USB 3.0, USB 2.0, and USB 1.1 devices.
