I'm currently in the market for a mesh system and was looking for great pricing. I know this is a referb but for the price thought was pretty good.

Have you looked into powerline adapters? I just picked up an outdated model w/ an older wifi router I'll hook up to it for about 35$ total now I have two access points for my wifi. This will only work if you're not requiring super bandwidth all over your house

Thanks for the input I tried them and they work ok but we stream everything and have a 3000sqft house. I'm hoping these work. I currently have 3 wifi routers around my house but it's a pain with smart home devices and different network sign on's.

I have the Velop setup, and it works great. I don't think you'll be disappointed!

I just bought a 2-pack on ebay a few weeks ago(for 200) - I have a 2-story house and my upstairs always SUCKED for wireless, no matter the extenders, ect I used. Since I have bought the velops, it has been great coverage. However, I need 1 more (so I would have 3 total).

I would definitely recommend the velops

Very similar to my home setup. We have 3500sqft and I had extenders, 3 routers and a main google onhub and whenever we had guests overor company it was so annoying telling them which router to connect to and where and what. I got the Google wifi mesh since I already had the onhub and it was solved all my issues. One ssid /one password. Automatically connects you to the strongest signal. IMO, if you are on the fence, do it. Worth the investment

I bought the 3 pack at sams club for 99 bucks. They work great. I have one wired in basement to my att modem router and one upstairs in middle of house and I get perfect signal everywhere even without 3rd hooked up yet. Very easy to setup to just follow the app.

$99? When was this? Normal price is $400+?

Is this worth the premium over Google Wifi?

About a week ago I wouldn't pay 400 for any router but they are very nice way overkill for my ranch house but for the price I grabbed them

+1 on that. The closest deal was 3-pack for $280 from OD that went OOS in 2-3 hours. That one was new though, not refurbished.

I got myself Orbi RBS50 3-piece set but now thinking about getting this one... The constant internet disconnects drive me nuts and Netgear tech support only offers to reset the router or wait until the next firmware release.

Same issue here with the Orbi. Only thing is with the Velop, I need an additional switch since each unit only has one LAN

Even my ORBI is lying like a big heavy paper weight - was fed up with the frequent disconnects. Got Velop, no disconnections, however it cannot match the wi-fi speed that I was getting out of ORBI which was near Ethernet speed. Velop wifi speed is more-or-less half just like my previous routers.
