It's 2017, and soon 2018.

Microsoft owned Nokia for a period of time, and yes, they were Windows phones then.

I HATE non-removable batteries! The reviews make it sound like if you get a good one, you are set. If not, expect pain.

Good specs for a budget mid tier phone, except for that processor- If only it had a Snapdragon 625, heck even a 617.

At this price, I'd rather pay $50 more for the Honor 7x with better processor and no ads.

Me too, but I doubt they are coming back. Apparently demand isn't there and people treat the phones as disposable anyway

wondering if there's any way to remove the ads? doesn't seem that much cheaper for the mid-low end spec with the ad compromise?

Yep, took years to get my wife to switch to Android. Finally when more and more of her apps were outdated, didn't work, or were never there from the start, adage switched and now she always says idk how I stuck with Windows so long w/o any apps. I personally loved the Windows os. It's sad they didn't figure out the app situation.

The Honor's EMUI 5 skin is perfectly fine. EMUI 4 was really poor so maybe you're thinking of that. Even if you aren't and you really can't stand EMUI 5 for some reason, you know Android launchers exist, right?

seems expensive is this a good price
This is $40 cheaper I believe. The no-ads version was $229 and the with-ads version was $189 if I'm not mistaken.
