Really ...you can read these even to kids that are older than toddlers (2-5). Picture books are great for children to start using Language and imagination. I often use picture books to have the kids read to me and tell me what is happening in the pictures. They make their own stories according to what they see. It's great for kids that are beginning to learn to read too.

The next level up are the easy reader books(6-8 yrs old). These still incorporate pictures but have up to 3-5 sentences per page. They follow an easier format for children who are learning to read.

At what age one should stop reading these one sentence a page books for toddlers and go to next level?

Edit: I know when they'll start reading, they'll come back to those, but from content level perspective.
