Computer parts for wife's computer

24 10 December 8, 2017 at 02:53 PM
Hi everyone! I'm trying to build a computer for my wife for Christmas that will fill her gaming, video editing, and Photoshop needs.

Currently I have purchased a solid state drive and a power supply.

I am in need of the following parts:

CPU: AMD preferred
Motherboard: no preference, maybe in a bundle with CPU?
Graphics card: Doesn't need anything insane, but good enough to run overwatch on max. Nvidia or AMD.
RAM: 16gb should be enough

My budget is a little tight and I don't mind driving to microcenter. Greater Boston area.

I would suggest to look at parts prices, so you'll know when to pull the trigger to purchase. However, this is the long way to get a computer, as parts may not go on sale at the same time. Have you considered Dell, HP, or any other major brands?

Yay! Christmas is around the corner, there should be sales on those.

set up Deal Alerts (top of each Slickdeals page), be sure to edit it to 0 ratings, so a deal will pop up soon after it is posted.

You probably already know pcpartpicker [pcpartpicker.com]is another good site to look for components.

gl, happy holidays!

I'd suggest that just buy a dell workstation without those parts that you have. Any 3rd Genration will be fine for the tasks you mentioned for your wife. And she will be happy with you to run a very smooth system
