Used SSD, LOL.

Should've been warrantied out; instead, Bezos tries to sell them.

I'll bite, need a new drive, I'll let you all know how it turns out, should have by Monday the 11th.

I am tempted by this $17 Chinese 120gb ssd [ebay.com], but I made a promise long ago never to buy memory products from china as usually they are masquerading as higher capacity then they are and performance is garbage.

I've bought a number of things from Amazon Warehouse where they said they were in "like new" condition and they were actually still factory sealed, just with a slightly crunched retail box. Those were awesome deals.

However, you have to understand that Amazon Warehouse items come with no warranty other than the Amazon 30-day return, because they are sold as used (the invoice says "Sold by: Warehouse Deals, Inc." "Condition: Used - Like New"). You might be able to convince a manufacturer to honor their warranty, but I wouldn't count on it. Because of that, I don't buy anything that might need a warranty (like electronics or appliances) from Amazon Warehouse.

Just got here today, manufacturer date of 06/2017, has 52 hours powered on which does seem a bit high, power on count of 13. all smart items show brand new. For a $20 discount, I'll take the chance. I have yet to lose a SSD, still running a Infamous OCZ Vertex 4(7632 hours powered on with only 5TB host writes).
