Well, we knew it was coming. And here it is just in time for x-mas. This is the 2017 Denon 4400 for $899. Pretty sure the first time it has been on sale at Fry's, and we all know probably won't be the last! $899 is the lowest price I have seen from an authorized dealer.
Now all we need is for turnne to come in and start thread crapping about how this should be the "regular price", and is "nothing special" and will be $799 soon, and how he got one for $1.50 in change he found in the parking lot. :-)

oh, and the 15" Klipsch sub is on sale again as well for $489, but I still think that price sucks as I bought a dozen of them at $399 WITH a free wireless kit..

Wait wait wait...what did you do with a 12 15" Subs? BTW...Good find. Couple of months ago the 4300 was at 799 so 899 for 4400 is a good price.

Now to PRAY that it will be available to ship early on. It is available currently so hopefully later on

How do you see upcoming deals? I'm subscribed to their newsletters so I get about three or four daily emails from them but they're always for that current day

Will it work if I place an order right now and pick it up on Sunday with the promo code?

I'm too lazy to check...How long will Frys keep my order for in store pickup? I won't be back to Texas until the 14th or 15th.

Absolutely nothing. The 4300 for 799 is a better deal, all day long.

4400 comes with AURO 3D decoding out of the box which is a $200 upgrade on the 4300... The 4400 is also a few pounds heavier, so I'm assuming it's a beefier power supply that's providing the same wattage per channel

From what I am thinking eARC, although not sure why the x4300h could not be updated. It also has a 32bit dsp over a 24bit. IMO not worth it. I picked up a scratch and dent x4300h from crutchfield and very, very happy

You can read an article that describes the differences between the 4300 and the 4400 at - https://www.avforums.com/review/d...view.14161.

In short, the main benefits of the 4400 over the 4300 are -
* DOLBY VISION support (which provide a better HDR and picture quality).
* Auro 3D support, you can add it to the 4300 via upgrade that cost $199. Aura 3D is a new format for 3D sound that competes with Dolby Atmos and DTS-X.
* Better sound circuits.
* Enhanced Audio Return Channel (eARC)

4300 supports Dobly Vision. The last update added it.
