This has a LED digital readout to tell you exactly what the remaining capacity is for the battery. It also has USB C input so you can charge it with the same cable you use for your phone - no need to keep USB C + Micro USB cables on you. Nice feature for me when traveling.

It has two charging ports (one QC 3.0 and one 5V/2.4A) plus it has QC 3.0 input so you can fast charge the device. Also a compact size at only .5" thick. This checks all the boxes for me. I just ordered an Anker battery pack from another deal and I'm going to return it for this one which seems better in every way. Reviews are solid and it passes Fakespot (although Fakespot is borderline worthless).

Seems like a really good deal.

Bump

Bumping again to reflect new even lower price. Original price when I posted this was $18.42 which is what I paid. Haven't had it very long but probably my favorite backup battery and I've owned a lot of them.

Do you know why they specifically single out support for A9 and another that only supports Huawei P9?

Good deal and fakespot A. I'd get one if I needed one or was going on a trip soon.

That is quite strange indeed. The A9 Pro uses a Snapdragon 65X, so it has proper Qualcomm QC 3.0 support - the Huawei uses Hisilicon Kirin 955 SoC with their own implementation of quick charging ("Supercharge").

The Huawei implementation is similar to OnePlus Dash charging, from what I can figure out so far: https://www.gizmochina.com/2016/1...echnology/

So the charging hardware is in theory different between the two units.

How this power bank working? Some reviews mention the 1000mah being inaccurate - closer to 7000mah. What's your experience?

Most power bank fudge the numbers slightly, all the ratings are based on 5V output and all the quick charge converstions have power loss inefficiencies when boosting voltage to 9/12V.

I am not familiar with this particular brand, but personally I've had good luck with the LeEco power bank, although it's limited to QC 2.0 output: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01AWDSU9M

Supports Qualcomm QC power bank charging, which saves a lot of time on top-up. Basically no warranty at this point, as the company is SOL in U.S. market.

Anker has consistent power bank reputation, but they charge a slight premium.

I've been using one for about 3 months now and haven't experienced any problems. It activates QC on all my compatible devices. It includes a short cable with convertible USB C/Micro ends. The current $16 seems to be a good deal.
