Thank you. Would rather just pay the 2$ than mess with rebates.

By the time you go through the hassles & costs required - printing, filling out form, envelope, stamp, making bank deposit, etc. - you've probably come close to spending at least that much in time and materials. For higher rebates (like $10+), sure - but for $2...?

Unless your time isn't worth much...

Have frequently thought the same thing -
I will do rebates for decent amounts on decent quality products.
But if it's an ethernet cable, much like this one, worth $2, being sold for $8 with an $8 rebate...pass.
Not only are you paying in time/materials to send it in, but then you are stuck with having to deal with a rewards VISA card.

I'm glad people seem to enjoy the posts, but I really don't understand the mad rush for the knick-knack FAR items.

Thanks for posting deal OP, even if it doesn't get much traction

What is ethernet used for here?
Never mind, I think it means the connection speed.

Before wireless was fast and reliable, people used ethernet cables to connect their computers to the internet. I think the person mentioning them was just using it to describe a category of rebate items that are often offered FAR.

I just buy cables in bulk to save on pricing until I'm close to running out then buy a new set from places like cablewholesale.com If you need just a few then these or the rebates are still good, do it ahead of time and you have it around when you need it.
