5.99 for shipping. Still a good deal considering no sales tax. I just bought one.

I think they might only allow the shipping option if you're out of state or something. I've seen deals from them dozens of times but I could never buy anything until now because it's always been in store only.

Which is considered the best VR headset out there? This one or oculus or something else?

This one, the Vive, has more games, easier setup, better tracking, and more modularity. Unless you've got a specific game in mind on another platform there's no advantage to going with another system, except maybe price.

The difference with this and the other $599 deal is that this does not include the deluxe head strap ($100) and the fallout game ($60).

If your not interested in the other stuff, this is a great price to get in to it. But I highly recommend the audio strap. More comfort and having the headphones built in is easier then having to worry about earbuds or over the head headsets.

Paid $799+tax guy here. But then again, I got even less mileage from the $900 HMD-T1.
But my point is, after using all the headsets, the sub $250 street price HP MR is the one I always use.

Fallout 4 VR is included with this deal.

This is all a matter of opinion. Most people like rhe comfort of the Rift headset over Vive, though Vive is bigger to fit over larger glasses. There is no debate the Rift controllers are much better. Though improved controllers can be purchased for vive. Setup is easier on Vive, no long wires to cameras, and perhaps tracking better, though many people now argue it is the same.

Samsung Odyssey looks to be the best visually, is easiest to set up, with no external tracking devices to set up. It will be worse though in tracking your controllers because they need to be in the headset field of vision to correctly callibrate their position. So I wonder if my tennis swing would get really out of wack with Samsung. So it depends on what you like to do on it.

Oh man. This is the sale I've been waiting for, but sadly my wallet wasn't ready. Next time, Vive.
